Switzerland – Grand Casino Lucerne receives Tourism Award

The Grand Casino Lucerne has been honoured for making Lucerne-Lake Lucerne a tourist destination more attractive and has received the Tourism Award of the Lucerne Tourism Forum.
For the tenth edition of the Festival of Hospitality, the Grand Casino Lucerne was honoured on Saturday evening for its special services to the tourist region during a gala at the KKL. The casino stood out for its innovation and development.
Since 1882, the neo-baroque palace building of the casino has shaped the cityscape of Lucerne and makes the hearts of lovers of the game beat faster, but also of gourmets and culture enthusiasts. From the casino to the online casino mycasino and the restaurant Olivo to meetings and events – guests of the Grand Casino Lucerne are offered an extensive range of entertainment for all needs. “Such an offer under one roof is unique and shapes the attractiveness of Lucerne as a tourist destination,” says Daniel Salzmann, CEO of Luzerner Kantonalbank and member of the selection committee.
The casino has responded to the change in the tourism industry with flexibility and an innovative mindset. “The pandemic has presented us with great challenges, but thanks to the online casino, we have been able to compensate for all the declines. Now things are looking up again and we are very confident about the future,” says the CEO of Grand Casino Luzern. Wolfgang Bliem dedicates the award to his workforce: “The prize is due to our employees, who do outstanding work in all areas.”
