Switzerland – Kursaal Bern applies for A Licence casino in Lausanne

Kursaal Bern, the operator of casinos in casinos in Bern and Neuchâtel, wants to operate a third land-based casino, having applied for an A concession casino in Romanel-sur-Lausanne with the Federal Gaming Commission.
The application comes on the back of the Federal Council’s decision in spring to award 10 A licences and 13 B licences for casinos. The Commission has already proposed the Lausanne region and Winterthur as new localities for new casinos. Currently there is only one casino in the greater Lausanne area with Montreux operating with a B licence.
Kursaal Bern has also announced that it will no longer operate the hurrahcasino.ch online casino and will concentrate its efforts on its 7melons.ch offering.
