Switzerland – Stadtcasino Baden Gruppe takes over Gamanza

The Gamanza Group AG, which is jointly owned by Magnus Lindberg and Grand Casino Baden AG, will be split up: The two 50 per cent shareholders will each take over two business areas and develop them for their specific target groups. The transaction strengthens both focus and market opportunities.
Stadtcasino Baden Group already holds 50 per cent of the shares in the Gamanza Group via Grand Casino Baden AG, which was founded by the Swedish iGaming entrepreneur Magnus Lindberg.
The group develops and sells software that forms the technological basis for operating an online casino. This includes the platform (“Player Account Management System”), which manages the accounts of online players. It also provides the interfaces to other software modules and the individual online games. Another central element is the “Customer Engagement Platform”, a CRM tool that manages marketing activities and customer communication in real time.
In addition, the Gamanza Group develops its own online casino games as well as unique solutions for sports betting providers. The Board of Directors sees great market opportunities in all business areas.
Stadtcasino Baden Gruppe and Magnus Lindberg have agreed that these opportunities can best be used if the two owners divide up the business areas and develop them individually. The two business areas of game development and sports betting will be completely transferred to Magnus Lindberg and will continue to be managed independently under his leadership. The Stadtcasino Baden Group takes over the Player Account Management System and Customer Engagement Platform areas completely and continues to operate them under the Gamanza brand.
In the course of the demerger, Grand Casino Baden AG takes on responsibility for around 60 employees of the Gamanza Group who work in the subsidiaries in Slovenia and Costa Rica. Around 30 employees in Serbia, Sweden and Malta join Magnus Lindberg’s team.
The Gamanza Group has grown rapidly over the past 24 months. The team was expanded from originally ten people to 90 employees. The Gamanza Group is already the market leader as a technology partner for online casinos in Switzerland, where five online casinos are already working with the Gamanza platform. Two of them are online, three are in the preparatory phase.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial aspects of the transaction.
