By - 30 November 2023

The Grand Casino Prilly project, led by the French group Tranchant and the company Airport Casino Basel AG, has won out in its bid to bring a casino to the city of Lausanne in the Swiss canton of Vaud.

The licence will from January 1, 2025, until 2044. The Grand Casino Prilly will be located right in the centre of Malley’s new district, which is set to play a central role in its future. It is located at the crossroads of the municipalities of Lausanne, Prilly and Renens. This second casino in Vaud, after the one in Montreux, will be located in a renovated building at the foot of the Tilia Tower complex in the Malley district. There will be 220 slot machines, 11 gaming tables, including five American roulettes, four blackjacks and two poker tables. Prilly’s project won out over Romanel’s.

Alain Gillièron, Mayor of Prilly, said: “The Grand Casino Prilly project has all the assets one could wish for: it promotes the development of the already dynamic Malley district; it complements the existing offer of hotels, shops as well as sporting and cultural events; It is very well served by public transport and easily accessible with private transport and, finally, it is carried by Swiss managers. We see this project as a welcome aid to the development of the region and support it without restrictions.”
