The Netherlands – Gammix ordered to cease unlicensed offer or face hefty weekly fines
By William - 11 July 2022
The Dutch Gaming Authority, Kansspelautoriteit, has imposed a cease and desist order on Gammix for illegally offering online games of chance.
If Gammix persists, the company will have to pay a penalty of €1.47m per week, up to a maximum of nearly €4.5m.
The Ksa has established that Gammix offers games of chance to Dutch consumers via various websites which it is not licensed to do so.
As a result, no supervision is possible, which means that there is no control over, among other things, the fairness of the game and whether sufficient attention is paid to addiction prevention.
