The Netherlands – Holland Casino confirms two week closure in the Netherlands

By - 15 March 2020

Holland Casino has closed all 14 branches March 13 as part of its measures to combat the corona virus.

The measure applies to establishments in Amsterdam-West Sloterdijk, Amsterdam Center, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Scheveningen, Zandvoort, Groningen, Leeuwarden, Nijmegen, Enschede, Valkenburg, Eindhoven, Venlo and Breda.

Holland Casino CEO Erwin van Lambaart said the operator was following the guidelines of the government and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). “Also at the Holland Casino locations there are usually more than 100 guests and employees present. That is why we do not take any risks,” Mr. Van Lambaart said.

All events and other gatherings for more than 100 people were banned by the cabinet last week. The measures apply in any case until March 31.
