The Netherlands – Merkur Casino International to open another branch in the Netherlands

Over 33 years after opening its first arcade in Amsterdam, the Gauselmann Group-owned Merkur Casino International will open its sixth branch in the Netherlands this autumn, this time in Valkenburg.

Merkur Casino International will open on October 11 at Muntstraat 8 taking over the previous operator in July 2019. Almost 70 gaming machines over an area of 249 square metres will be offered to visitors in a modern atmosphere. The branch’s opening hours will be: Mondays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Merkur Casino International operates more than 360 arcades in European countries outside of Germany under the logo of the laughing Merkur sun. Company founder, Paul Gauselmann, opened the company’s first international arcade in Amsterdam in 1986. Today, Merkur Casino International operates in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Slovakia.
