By - 10 April 2015

US-based Sino-American Gaming Investment Group and Macau Resources Group are teaming up in an attempt to spend $1on two Philippine casino resorts; one on Cebu, an island popular with tourists and one on the island of Napayawan.

Francis Hernando of Philippine gaming regulator PAGCOR confirmed that letters of intention from the groups had been received but that it currently had no position on the proposals and would consider them in due course. He added that areas away from manila currently had more chance of seeing casino projects approved.

Michael Foxman, Managing Director of Sino-American Gaming, said hotel chain Banyan Tree would be involved in the project whilst it had partnered with a Las Vegas company to oversee the venue’s entertainment. The development on Cebu would be called Mactan Leisure City.
