The Star announces overhaul of key executives following Bally’s rescue package
Star’s Chairman Anne Ward resigns as director of The Star
Australian casino operator Star Entertainment Group has announced sweeping changes to the officeholders of The Star that were made during a meeting of the Board, following Bally Corps. investment.
Mr Soo Kim and Mr George Papanier were appointed to the Board of The Star as nominees of
Bally’s Corporation. The Star’s Chairman, Ms Anne Ward, has resigned as a director of The Star. Non-Executive Director, Ms Deborah Page AM, has resigned as a director of The Star. Bruce Mathieson Jnr has been elected Chairman of the Board of The Star. Peter Hodgson has been appointed as interim Chair of The Star’s Audit Committee; and Eirene Garnsey has been appointed as an additional Company Secretary of The Star.
