UAE Lottery marks first year with AED 147m in prizes
The UAE’s federally licensed lottery completes its first year, reporting five new millionaires, a AED 100 million Grand Prize, and a growing product portfolio as it enters year two with plans for new games and enhanced digital features.
The UAE Lottery has reached its first anniversary, reporting AED 147 million in total prizes distributed to more than 100,000 players since launching in November 2024.
As the UAE’s first and only regulated lottery, the platform has become a regular fixture for participants across the country. Over the past year, it has created five millionaires, delivered 233 prizes of AED 100,000 through Lucky Day, Lucky Chance and scratch card games, and recorded a AED 100 million Grand Prize – one of the largest lottery payouts in the UAE and wider region.
Scott Burton, Commercial Gaming Director at The UAE Lottery, said: “Our first year proved just how exciting and rewarding The UAE Lottery can be, with unforgettable wins and incredible stories from players across the UAE. The trust, enthusiasm, and remarkable moments we’ve witnessed define the experience we’re proud to offer today.”
During its debut year, The UAE Lottery broadened its product offering to now include more than 20 gaming options. These range from the flagship Lucky Day Draw to daily games such as Pick 3, Pick 4 and Color Prediction, as well as a range of scratch cards and E-instant games with entry points starting from AED 1. Scratch cards alone have produced five AED 1 million top-tier wins.
Entering its second year, The UAE Lottery plans additional game launches, updated prize structures and new digital features intended to enhance accessibility and player engagement. The organisation said these developments will support its commitment to fairness, safety and responsible participation.
The UAE Lottery is regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) and operated by The Game LLC. Participation is open to residents aged 18 and above.
