Andrew Cammegh, Director of roulette wheel manufacturer Cammegh Ltd, has been awarded with the European Casino Association’s Life Time Achievement Award at the European Casino Awards held on the February 6 2024 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden in London.
The prestigious award ceremony celebrated the excellence and innovation of casino operators, manufacturers, and professionals from across the gaming industry. The Life Time Achievement Award celebrates an individual that has devoted a significant portion of their career to the gaming sector and demonstrated an unrivalled ability to promote and improve the industry.
Andrew Cammegh said: “I was deeply honoured to receive the Life Time Achievement Award from the European Casino Association. I would like to thank those who nominated and voted for me affording me this wonderful recognition, but also my colleagues who have helped elevate Cammegh Ltd to become the world’s leading roulette wheel and display manufacturer.”
Founded in 1989 by Bill Cammegh, Andrew joined his brother Richard in the family business of crafting the world’s finest roulette wheels in 2003, having worked in London prior to relocating his family to rural Kent. Thirty years later, and only a few miles from the tiny garage in Kent where it happened, Cammegh proudly continue Bill’s work with a commitment to making the world’s finest roulette wheels.
Andrew started in sales and is today, Sales Director of Cammegh. Continuing to grow the family business is a prime motivator for Andrew, with Cammegh continuing to break sales records and, chief amongst significant milestones, was the acquisition of the company’s Nevada license in 2011. In addition to his sales role, Andrew has been instrumental in expanding Cammegh’s portfolio beyond the world-famous Mercury 360 wheel, which now includes automated roulettes, displays, accessories and numerous sidebets.
The Cammegh brothers now direct a team of 30, including experts from the cutting edge of technology, to create products for casinos worldwide. Cammegh now supplies a wide range of highly discerning clients, from the Casino de Monte-Carlo to the most prestigious names in Macau, Las Vegas and Australia, all without losing its focus as a proudly British company that excels in making precision-engineered, highly customised products.
Lewis Pek, Managing Director of G3 Media, said: “Now in his 21st year with the business, Andrew has industry-friends in every country in the world, and regularly circumnavigates the globe to keep in touch with clients on a one-to-one basis. It is hard to imagine Cammegh without Andrew’s effervescent personality driving the company and it’s right that he should be recognised with the ECA’s Lifetime Achievement Award 2024.”
