UK – Arena Racing Company and Vermantia launch Horse Racing Tote Channel

By - 2 February 2023

Vermantia, a leader in omnichannel content distribution technology, and Arena Racing Company (“ARC”), Britain’s largest racing group, launch the ARC Media International service, the new Horse Racing tote betting channel.

AMI channel includes a rich daily schedule of premium horse races, both flat and national hunt, broadcast live from all sixteen ARC, as well as several independent, racecourses. In total, the schedule comprises close to 700 fixtures across the year from tracks such as Ascot, Doncaster and Lingfield Park.

Vermantia’s CAP (Complex Automated Production), an advanced service that drives all complex actions and rules in a fully automated and remote way – being the first of its kind – powers and produces the brand-new channel. The system blends rich racing and betting information, displayed in custom-designed graphics, with an official live racing commentator and in-studio analyst for tips, creating the optimum experience for the viewers.

Vermantia’s CTO, Menelaos Ladopoulos, commented: “Cutting-edge retail technology lies in our core offering, and we are glad to be able to provide betting operators with the most comprehensive live racing service for Tote betting. We are always in line with the growing demand from the market for premium quality and fast-paced racing, which is powered with a fully automated service and zero-hassle for the operator, making it the most complete offering of its kind worldwide.”

The channel service is already live across numerous operators in the US, Europe, and South Africa, while the plug n play function of Vermantia’s CAP enables a fast and easy activation of the channel in any retail shop across the globe.

Mark Kingston, ARC’s Director of Media and Technology, said about the launch: “The AMI service is a top-quality Tote betting channel in the international markets, being a perfect mix of premium racing content, rich racing and betting data, modern design, and advanced automated technology. Its success has been seen from the beginning, being already adopted by multiple influential operators in the US, Europe, and South Africa.”

International operators have already noted the benefits for their customers. Klaus Ebner, Senior Manager at Woodbine Entertainment stated about the AMI Channel: “We’re very happy with the new look and feel of the racing product being displayed to our customers.  A high-definition signal, clear post times, race distances, and horse information are vital for our customers to wager on some of the very best British races.”
