UK – Aspers increases turnover despite loss

By - 14 April 2015

British casino operator Aspers has seen an increase in earnings at its flagship casino in London’s Westfield Stratford City shopping centre.

Overall group turnover for the year to June 30, 2014 increased from £67.8m to £83.6m but Aspers still recorded a loss of £3.8m, down from a loss of £5.4m the previous year.

The casino, the largest in the UK, attracted more high-spending customers with visitor levels up by five per cent in the year to June 30, 2014.

Spend per head has also increased by 13 per cent as customers have become ‘more comfortable and familiar with their surroundings.’

Aspers Newcastle saw a drop in revenue and customer numbers whilst Aspers property in Northampton was negatively affected by its new rival in Milton Keynes.
