UK – Aspers to make a roulette millionaire

Aspers Westfield, in London’s Stratford City, has become the first casino in Britain to offer the chance of winning £1m on a single spin of the roulette wheel.
The casino will be launching its Spin For a Million competition later this month. It will run for six weeks at the venue that attracts 3,500 visits every day.
The competition’s 20 finalists will compete in 10 knockout rounds to decide who becomes the winner of guaranteed £25,000 cash prizes and who spins for tax-free £1m in cash.
Damian Aspinall said: “I’m really proud that we’re the first casino business to offer this. It’s a really exciting way of communicating with our customers and creates a real buzz, so I’m delighted we’ve pulled it off. It’s a chance to change someone’s life and show our customers we’re very progressive and able to do fun things that others wouldn’t. If it goes well and the customers enjoy it there’s no reason why we wouldn’t repeat it and maybe even go higher.”
Since it opened in December 2011, Aspers has attracted 3.5m people through its doors.
