Bacta has made a key appointment by recruiting Russell Edge to the role of Membership, Social Responsibility and Compliance Manager.
The appointment is timely, as bacta has just gone live with its bactaPortal and Russell will maintain this, as well as overseeing and develop the bacta self-exclusion system. He will also act as Secretary to the bacta SR committee and organise the annual SR Exchange.
On Compliance, Russell will oversee all aspects, including dispute resolution, codes of practice, delivery of compliance training and the overseeing of crime prevention services.
“This is a new and vital appointment for bacta,” says CEO John White. “Russell will be a key contact for members, managing and supporting member benefits, delivering member systems and ensuring that schemes, such as ADIPS are delivered efficiently.”
Russell joins bacta from ITC Compliance, where he was Regional Account Manager, prior to that, he worked for telecoms business BDM and automotive giant Ford. He said of his new role, “I am looking forward to taking up my new role at bacta, I have enjoyed a happy and successful career to date with a number of blue-chip companies and it will be a great opportunity to work in a smaller organisation and effect some real change. I tend to thrive in a pressurised and challenging working environment, enabling me to pioneer new and better ways of doing things and I believe this job will give me that opportunity.”
