UK – Caesars appoints new Director at Rendezvous Brighton

By - 21 October 2015

Caesars Entertainment UK has hired a series of new senior posts at Rendezvous Brighton casino.

Headed up by new Venue Director George Gordon and supported by Marketing Manager Roxanne Malan and new F&B Manager John Higgin the new team bring 12 years’ of international gaming expertise to the table.

Mr. Gordon, former General Manager of Gala casino in Bristol, is focused on returning Rendezvous Brighton casino to its former status as the number one gaming destination in Brighton.

Credited with increasing staff engagement from 40 per cent to 80 per cent in just under two years in his former post, Mr. Gordon believes the secret to running a successful casino lies in having excellent staff who deliver a brilliant service to customers.

He said: “It was important to me to ensure I met with all the casino staff within the first few weeks of arrival. We already have some brilliant examples of staff retention and customer service but I want to make it my mission to improve upon that tenfold over the next few months. Happy engaged staff make for happy customers and that in turn will make Rendezvous Brighton the number one gaming destination in Brighton.”

Mr. Gordon sees the casino’s location in the centre of Brighton’s Marina as another huge opportunity. He continued: “Brighton Marina is enjoying a renaissance. With huge investment back into the marina we have a great opportunity to attract the marina’s residents, businesses and diners to relax and have some fun at Rendezvous casino.”

Since his appointment as Venue Director in August this year Mr. Gordon has already made some significant changes. This includes introducing a new 24 hour opening policy which will operate from the end of November and the introduction of a new Punto Banco gaming table, making it the only casino in Brighton to offer this popular Chinese game. Rendezvous Brighton will also launch a bigger poker offering from January 2016.

Mr. Gordon said: “Rendezvous Brighton is all about giving customers something they can’t get anywhere else. But more than that, it’s about offering them the best experience – whether that’s the best games, best entertainment, best service or overall best experience. The Rendezvous casino will put Brighton Marina back on the map as the entertainment hot spot in town.”

A market leader for over 40 years, Caesars Entertainment was the first to introduce a loyalty scheme in the UK – Player Rewards – the richest casino loyalty programme. It was also the first casino group in the UK to introduce dynamic leisure facilities to its properties, making them true entertainment destinations, including celebrity chef restaurants with James Martin and Marco Pierre White as well as a sports bar in partnership with Carlsberg at its flagship Leicester Square venue, the Empire Casino.
