UK – Grosvenor launches ‘World’s Smallest Travelling Casino’

Grosvenor Casinos has launched its one-of-a-kind travelling casino in the form of a fully-working London cab.
Sporting personality Phil Tufnell will serve as host for the debut in London, greeting passengers in the bespoke taxi – compete with both live and online game play. Grosvenor Casinos’ ‘World’s Smallest Travelling Casino’ will then travel across the UK for three weeks, picking up passengers in select cities where Grosvenor Casinos has venues. This is part of Grosvenor Casinos’ wider promotional campaign which aims to celebrate the upcoming summer of sport – and highlight its own sports offerings in-house.
The launch day with ex-England cricketer Phil Tufnell will be filmed with content created and shared on Grosvenor Casinos’ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages to raise awareness of the taxi and explain how it works. Passengers will have the choice of being taken to their local Grosvenor Casino free of charge, or to be driven anywhere in the city for an optional donation to Carers Trust – the company’s chosen charity. To request a ride in Grosvenor Casinos’ World’s Smallest Travelling Casino, consumers just need to tweet @grosvenorcasino and say where they are and where they want to go.
Grosvenor Casinos’ World’s Smallest Travelling Casino includes a gaming table where the dealer will give quick lessons in Blackjack and online gaming using a tablet. It will also have TV screens showing sports events and a bar. Following the launch in London, the taxi will head north to Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and finally, Glasgow.
