UK – Kindness charity takes over Gala Bingo’s sponsorship of The Chase

By - 21 May 2020

GalaBingo.com has made its sponsorship of ITV flagship show, The Chase, available to its charity partner, 52 Lives.

For two weeks from Monday 18th May, the charity will be featured throughout the show, in an effort to raise awareness and vital funds. 52 Lives, set up by Jaime Thurtson in 2013, uses kindness to change people’s lives through acts such as providing household furnishings and funding medical equipment, and has seen a significant increase in donations since the lockdown, enabling them to help more people across the country.

GalaBingo.com has been a charity partner to 52 Lives for three years, raising in excess of £400,000 for the worthy charity. During this period of lockdown, they are inviting players to support the cause by playing special games every evening, where 100% of the proceeds go directly to those in need. The leading online bingo site also donated £52,000 in April in support of the worthy cause.

Karina Adrian, Head of Brand Marketing at GalaBingo.com, said: “We’re proud to work with 52 Lives, a fantastic initiative that makes a real difference, and to encourage our players to support the cause with our charity bingo games. We know their work is really important and wanted to make the sponsorship of The Chase available to them to help them to spread their message of kindness across the UK, as well as raise funds to help more people in need. We hope this means their donations continue to grow and grow.”

Jaime Thurston, CEO of 52 Lives, commented: “We’ve seen more kindness emerging than we ever have before. People are innately kind, and in times of crisis, we come together and want to help one another. We’re thrilled to be sponsoring The Chase, as it’s such a popular show and we hope to spread the message far and wide that kindness is the one thing that truly connects us all.”
