UK – Rank to open centre of customer excellence in Sheffield

Rank Group, the owner of Grosvneor Casino and Mecca Bingo, is opening a centre of customer excellence in Sheffield, which will create 60 new jobs.

Liam Smith, Rank’s newly appointed customer services director, said: “Rank looked carefully at a number of locations for our new Customer Services Hub, and Sheffield was chosen primarily for two key reasons; its skilled and competitive workforce, and the investment in the City’s regeneration and development.The new Rank Customer Service Hub, which will open in September, represents a significant investment by the group for our employees and customers, and we look forward to a long and successful relationship with Sheffield.”

Cllr Leigh Bramall, deputy leader and cabinet member for business and economy, added: “Attracting a company of Rank’s size, history and ambition shows that companies want to do business in Sheffield and in this case, move their customer service operation from London to the city. This relocation will create 60 skilled jobs in the heart of the city and shows Rank, and a growing number of other major blue chip companies, share in our vision for Sheffield.”
