UK – Spielo G2 shows brand convergence

In a move to better integrate its land-based gaming solution business, Spielo International, with its iGaming business, GTech G2, the Lottomatica Group has decided to rename the latter Spielo G2.

GTech, Spielo, and Lottomatica in Italy will, of course, continue to leverage the strengths of the entire Group, but the name change allows the group to formalise the Spielo family as Lottomatica’s gaming arm.

Olivia Gillibrand, Head of Marketing, said: “This was to reflect the convergence trend between land-based and online gaming, and to utilise synergies to enable us to do more as a company. As part of this process we have been looking to create a new family that showcases the integration. As such, G2 will now be formally known as Spielo G2, not GTech G2. The change is a subtle one with a small change to the logo, our core message of We Speak Gaming and brand imagery remain the same. The change recognises the G2 as the most dominant and well recognised part of our logo but also now highlights our integration with Spielo.”
