UK – UK Gambling Commission suspends licence of Martin Henry Bailey pending investigation

By - 12 July 2021

The British Gambling Commission (UKGC) will conduct a review into Martin Henry Bailey, and decided to suspend their operating license with immediate effect, pending the conclusion of the review.

The regulator said: “The Gambling Commission has suspended the operating licence of Martin Henry Bailey (operating licence no 000841-N-102895-012) as it carries out a review under s116 of the Gambling Act 2005. The review follows concerns that activities may have been carried out contrary to the Act, not in accordance with conditions of their licence and that the Licensee may be unsuitable to carry on the licensed activities. Pursuant to section 118(2) of the Act, the Commission has determined to suspend the above operating licence.

The commission added: “We have made it clear to the operator that during the course of the suspension, we expect it to focus on treating consumers fairly and that the suspension does not prevent paying out winning bets placed by consumers prior to suspension. The suspension of Martin Henry Bailey takes effect immediately.”
