Ukraine – Evoplay enacts emergency relocation plans

By - 14 March 2022

Evoplay has successfully enacted its emergency contingency plans for its majority-Ukrainian team members, with the provider now ready to continue its service following the disruption caused by the last few weeks’ events.

Since the start of hostilities on February 24, Evoplay has relocated 15 per cent of its staff to Cyprus, and organised working and living facilities alongside its new office, opened in Lviv this week to give additional movements of its team who have chosen to stay in Ukraine.

The supplier, which has multiple partners, stakeholders and team members across Ukraine, is regularly donating to causes that support Ukrainian people and volunteering initiatives that actively support the humanitarian relief effort on the ground.

The company has also launched a fund for its entire staff, with all Ukraine-based team members providing full financial and logistical support to relocate to the safest regions of the country. Team members wishing to relocate to Cyprus will also be provided with the means to do so.

A significant portion of Evoplay’s staff has also committed to joining the volunteer and relief efforts, with the studio granting unlimited leave and financial support for all those involved in humanitarian efforts.

The supplier will continue to operate as usual from its new locations across Europe, with its contingency plan set to ensure the studio will continue with its 2022 game development plan without interruption.

Commenting on the application of these initiatives, Ivan Kravchuk, CEO at Evoplay, said: “As a Ukrainian company at heart, and true advocates of world peace, we can not stand idle at such a challenging time and have pledged to support the Ukrainian relief effort in any way we can.

“We will channel every resource we have at our disposal into efforts to rehouse our Ukraine-based team members. Supporting the wider needs of Ukraine during such a dark time in our history is the least we could do, and we pledge to do everything we can to support humanitarian efforts on the ground as the situation develops. We thank all of our friends and partners for their kind words of support.”
