Uruguay – Codere back up to 80 per cent of 2019’s GGR in Uruguay

Codere’s Uruguayan division Maroñas Entertainment has said that its operations in Uruguay generated 80 per cent of its 2019 revenues for the month of October.
The company, which operates the Maroñas National Racetrack, Las Piedras Racetrack, Hotel Casino Carrasco, six gaming halls and 27 betting locations, said that since reopening on August 6, it has experienced ‘rapid recovery of activity levels.’
“In October we reached about 80 per cent of the level (of activity) of 2019 adjusted for year-on-year inflation. The payments of the General Directorate of Casinos have continued without interruptions beyond the request made by the company to review the latest price readjustments of the leasing contracts made, which if received, even partially, would further improve the liquidity situation of the company,” it explained.
