By - 20 January 2016

Andrew Ortale, experienced tradeshow, meetings and conventions executive, has joined the American Gaming Association (AGA) as vice president of industry services.

Mr. Ortale will oversee the evolution of AGA’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) portfolio of events and develop new programs for the $240bn US casino gaming industry.

“Andrew’s addition to the AGA team demonstrates our commitment to enhancing G2E and other AGA events,” said Geoff Freeman, AGA president and CEO. “Facilitating meaningful business transactions, providing top-notch content and creating opportunities to strengthen relationships through face-to-face meetings are critical skills that Andrew will leverage for AGA.”

“AGA is undergoing dynamic change and expansion,” said Mr. Ortale. “I am eager to strengthen the value of AGA membership and G2E participation to drive innovation and make the world’s leading gaming trade show even stronger.”

Mr. Ortale brings more than 15 years experience as a meetings and convention professional to the AGA, most recently having served as the executive vice president of National Trade Productions, where he developed and directed their customer service program dedicated to exceptional client care. He was an integral part of the team that managed and marketed proprietary and association-owned events integrating cutting-edge technology into floor plan management, developing customer-centric communications and marketing campaigns and maximizing revenue through operational efficiencies.

He is also actively engaged with professional trade associations, including the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) both as a member of the national board of directors and the immediate past chair of the Washington, D.C. Chapter.
