US – Caesars to open Horseshoe Lake Charle later today

Caesars Entertainment has is reopening Louisiana’s former Isle of Capri Hotel and Casino as Horseshoe Lake Charles later today. 

A ribbon cutting will take place at 11:30 a.m. with Jim Mattress Mack McIngvale, owner of Gallery Furniture and record-breaking sports gambler, placing the casino’s ceremonial first bet.

Westlake Mayor Dan Racca will declare the day as Horseshoe Day. The doors will open at noon and the first 2,000 guests on opening day will receive a special gift. Additionally, the opening celebration will continue with a firework show over the lake at 9 p.m.

The reimagined Lake Charles property features a WSOP Poker Room, state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, a renovated hotel tower, and culinary offerings, including the award-winning The Brew Brothers. Discover why Horseshoe has long been The Ultimate Gambling Experience.

Anthony Carano, President and COO of Caesars Entertainment, said: “When we closed the Isle of Capri in 2020, we were not expecting the property to be shut down for this length of time. But we couldn’t be prouder of our team and all of the hard work they’ve put into this beautiful property. We look forward to welcoming our partners and the community to celebrate with us as we commemorate this milestone and introduce them to Horseshoe Lake Charles.”
