US-Coppert moves from IGT to Konami

Konami Gaming has appointed Michael Coppert to Director, Customer Service and Technical Support, where he will be responsible for providing leadership in customer support operations and key client management for the systems division.

Mr. Coppert has extensive experience leading cross functional teams in the casino industry. In addition to leading customer service organizations, his experience encompasses casino software development and deployment, new product development, systems analysis, business metrics, and project management.    Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Engineering for International Game Technology (IGT).

Jack Schaffer, Vice President of Customer Service at Konami Gaming, said: “Michael is a great addition to Konami’s Systems team.  His extensive background in the industry, knowledge of gaming products and proven ability to deliver high levels of customer service will further strengthen Konami as our business continues to grow.”

Prior to his employment at IGT, Mr. Coppert held senior level management positions with Mpower Communications and Casino Data Systems.  In addition to his management roles, Mr. Coppert held engineering positions with IBM. Mr. Coppert has also served on the UNLV Executive Advisory and the UNLV Computer Science Executive Advisory Boards.
