US – DraftKings to open new retail sportsbook at Casino Queen

DraftKings and CQ Holding Company will officially unveil a new 6,000-square-foot state-of-the-art permanent retail sportsbook on Tuesday, 29 March, at DraftKings at Casino Queen.
The two companies announced their collaboration two years ago and opened a temporary retail sportsbook at DraftKings at Casino Queen, located at 200 South Front St. along the Mississippi River,
The premier sports betting facility will provide a unique sports betting and viewing experience with a 60-foot video wall, dozens of high-definition televisions, a VIP area and more than 30 betting kiosks.
“With this comprehensive renovation, we are introducing a new era of sports betting, sports viewing and overall entertainment at DraftKings at Casino Queen,” said Terry Downey, president and CEO of CQ Holding Company, Inc. “Our relationship with DraftKings has allowed us to create an all-encompassing, state-of-the-art space that will continue to add to Illinois’ excitement for sports wagering.”
The cutting-edge DraftKings at Casino Queen Sportsbook will be located steps away from the casino floor and offer a gaming destination that is unparalleled in the region. Sports enthusiasts will be able to watch live action across 31 oversized high-definition TVs and a 60-foot video board. The DraftKings at Casino Queen Sportsbook will also give players the opportunity to place wagers on a variety of betting markets across professional and collegiate sports via 38 kiosks and five betting windows, complete with the latest sports wagering technology. Finally, a variety of new plush, lounge-style seating options, private booths, stadium seating and VIP areas will provide optimal comfort for sports fans looking to catch their favorite events.

Guests may also enjoy a new dining and drinking experience within the DraftKings at Casino Queen Sportsbook. The custom-designed bar will offer contemporary elements with industrial details. Elevated game day-inspired dishes and American fare line the menu, with shareable appetizers, specialty burgers, hand-tossed pizzas, sandwiches, salads, entrees and desserts.
A sampling of the next-level tailgate cuisine to be offered will include the 20-oz. BBQ pork steak, with mac and cheese, crispy brussels sprouts and barbecue sauce; St. Louis hot salami, made with salami, white queso, spicy mustard and giardiniera on a french roll; and a pub burger sliders made with Angus beef, fried pickles, cheese sauce and grilled onions.
