By - 3 April 2022

Nestled in the redwoods and located along the Northern California coast, Elk Valley Casino has announced the schedule of events to celebrate the long-awaited opening of its new casino property. The festivities will kick off on Friday, 22 April with a ribbon cutting followed by a weekend of events that include cash giveaways, promotions, and live concerts.

“The grand opening will be a special day for the tribe with the culmination of years planning and anticipation of this new facility,” said Matthew Dodd, General Manager. “We are all excited to open the doors to not only a casino, but a gathering place for our friends and family in the community.”

The grand opening will include live entertainment, delicious offerings in Warriors Bar & Grill, and an opportunity for guests to get a first look at the long-awaited casino.

The new space will total 36,000 sq. ft. and is located off Hwy 101 & Humboldt Rd. in Crescent City, less than 2 miles from the current casino. One major change in the new casino is a state-of-the-art HVAC system that includes a Synexis Bio-Defense System to combat viruses, bacteria and more. This new system will provide 100 per cent fresh, non-recycled air to the building to enhance guests’ experience when they visit.

It will offer over 300 slot machines four table games, a six-table poker room and bingo in the new Event Center. The Elk Valley Rancheria is a federally recognized Indian Tribe that is comprised primarily of Tolowa Indians, but also includes members of other local tribes such as Wiyot, Yurok, and Hupa.
