By - 24 May 2016

Gaming Partners International and Walker Digital Table Systems are expanding their working relationship to develop and enhance their PJM Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) technologies.

RFID is utilised in a variety of table game applications, including gaming currency and table game solutions.

“We are excited that WDTS and GPIC will collaborate on the development and distribution of PJM RFID technology and applications,” said Neil Crossan, Senior Vice President – WDTS. “Being the largest supplier of RFID technology, GPIC has a wealth of experience in the field, and this together with the innovation that WDTS brings to the gaming floor will serve the industry well.”

“GPIC is looking forward to its expanded collaborative efforts with WDTS and combining our experience in the development and delivery of RFID technologies,” commented Gregory Gronau, GPIC’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “An expanded working relationship offers the opportunity to capitalize on our respective core strengths and maximize our synergies into creating and developing value added products and solutions.”

The companies anticipate that their collaboration will enhance the development time typically required to introduce and commercialize new and innovative PJM RFID offerings to the market. Both parties feel this is a big step forward in sustaining and growing a long-term, working partnership.
