On the heels of announcing the acquisition of Bulletproof, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) celebrated the grand opening of its new office in Moncton with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This new state-of-the-art facility houses the expanded Global Lottery Instant (Scratch Card) Ticket Testing Laboratory. GLI has been in Canada for more than 20 years, and the company is dedicated to furthering its commitment to better serve the province of New Brunswick.
The new laboratory’s core focus is on lottery clients and has over 120 team members dedicated to professional services and supporting the division. The Moncton test lab is the first of its kind, utilizing top-of-the-line, high-performance equipment and methodologies while leveraging strong relationships with existing lottery and ticket manufacturers. GLI’s ticket testing facility features more technology than any other ticket and lottery testing facility in North America.
GLI’s President and CEO James Maida said, “Our ticket testing lab is a natural extension of GLI’s core competencies as an independent test lab with senior testing analysts having more than 10 years of experience in ticket testing.”
Maida attended the grand opening event and spoke to clients and customers about his vision for new product offerings and the opportunity to expand jobs in the Moncton community. Following the grand opening, he also attended the Premier’s dinner in further support of the expansion.
GLI experienced tremendous growth in the Moncton office shortly after the acquisition of SLI Global Solutions in March 2015. Over the past year, the office has experienced an increase in revenue by 117 percent and 109 percent in staff. As a result, GLI relocated, expanding to a 5,000-square-foot facility and actively recruited staff to accommodate the increasing client demand. The larger office will not only help the company expand its service offerings, but also increase employee bandwidth in Canada.
SLI Global Solutions Quality Assurance & Professional Services Managing Director Gregory Doucette said, “The expansion of the Moncton office to accommodate the growth in our Software Quality Assurance Testing & Professional Services Division is very exciting. I am proud of the talented people we have been able to attract to our company from throughout the Maritime region. Great people and team chemistry have allowed our group to grow.
“Excellent client service skills, along with deep technical skill sets, have allowed us to expand and produce triple-digit growth over the last year,” Doucette said. “We are continuing to respond to our client’s request for additional value-added service, like the investment in our Lottery Instant Scratch Ticket Test Lab. These strategic investments are keeping us out in front as the leading-edge independent testing and professional services firm for lottery and gaming.”
