US – GLI University to present Regional Regulators Training Seminar

By - 20 July 2015

Responding to client and association member feedback, Gaming Laboratories International’s (GLI) GLI University has announced its upcoming Regional Regulators Training Seminar.

The in-depth technical training takes place on Thursday, July 30 at the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association Conference.

GLI University staff worked closely with the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA) and the Oklahoma Tribal Gaming Regulators Association (OTGRA) to create a day-long training that specifically meets the needs and concerns of OIGA and OTGRA members.

OIGA Executive Director Sheila Morago said: “With so many differences in compliance on a state by state level, it is imperative that we get training that is specific to Oklahoma. This kind of training is invaluable and helps keep our regulators and operators trained to a level that is unmatched.”
“Training specific to Oklahoma Regulators is necessary to stay compliant with new technologies and current regulations. OTGRA is excited to partner with GLI and OIGA on this essential training here in Oklahoma,” added Kelly Myers, OTGRA Chairperson.

The day-long training is overflowing with interesting and informative presentations and trainings on the topics OIGA and OTGRA members requested.

• Russell Witt, GLI National Director of Tribal Development
• Steve Bonilla, GLI Engineering Development Manager and IT Security subject matter expert
• David Elmore, GLI Development Manager and GLiCloud Project Lead
• Alex Bertone, GLI Tribal Development Representative for Oklahoma and Texas Tribal Markets

In addition to the training sessions by GLI’s subject matter experts, there will be two vendor presentation sessions from Video Gaming Technologies and Scientific Games.

GLI’s National Director of Tribal Development Russell Witt said: “We are very excited for our upcoming Regional Training Seminar at the OIGA Conference. GLI has always been very active in providing training opportunities such as Regional Trainings, our Regulator Roundtable Series, and our GLI University Training program. We saw an opportunity to provide a free training seminar for Tribal Gaming Regulators where they had the opportunity to choose what topics they wanted to hear about and which suppliers they wanted to hear from. The support from the OIGA and OTGRA leaders and membership has been overwhelming. We are looking forward to a great training seminar with more than 125 Tribal Gaming Regulators having an opportunity to learn and network with the top technical subject matter experts in the industry.”
