US – Hard Rock Atlantic City installs KGM’s Social Protection Shields on table games

By - 13 July 2020

Philadelphia-based casino supply manufacturer KGM developed multiple Social Protection solutions to help casinos stay compliant with gaming protocols for visitors
staying, playing and working in Atlantic City.

KGM released a new Social Protection product line for the casino and gaming industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic to help mitigate areas of concerns upon reopening casinos around the country. The plexiglass walls were designed to provide an added barrier between customers and cashiers, players and
machines, along with provide additional space for sanitizing products.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City was one of the first casinos to partner with KGM by installing Social Protection Shields at their table games prior to reopening their doors on July 2. The property is operating under new and thorough ‘Safe + Sound’ program guidelines to help ensure good clean fun at
their resort destination.

“When preparing our ‘Safe + Sound’ protocols, we felt confident in the ability of KGM and their products that have supported the enhancements made throughout our property to ensure the safety of our guests and team members remain paramount,” said Joe Lupo, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. “Their ability to produce this necessary product in a short period of time was truly first-class and we could not be more proud of the Social Protection line offered at Hard Rock Atlantic City.”

Hard Rock Atlantic City is one of three casinos in Atlantic City to purchase the social protectors from KGM.

“We are grateful to be given the opportunity to partner with an iconic brand like the Hard Rock,” said Executive Vice President of KGM Gaming, Jason Cohen. “We have seen the hardship many businesses and employees have had to go through when their jobs were put on hold due to this pandemic, so safely reopening was incredibly critical for our economy.”
