US – Ho-Chunk Nation announces $153m casino expansion project

Three Ho-Chunk Gaming (HCG) casinos are set to undergo major renovations and expansions as part of the Ho-Chunk Nation’s new expansion project or Project Forward, slated to begin in September 2016.

HCG-Wisconsin Dells, HCG-Black River Falls and HCG-Wittenberg will simultaneously see major upgrades that will add to the gaming experience.

Wilfrid Cleveland, Ho-Chunk Nation President said: “Project Forward” includes gaming floor expansions with additional slots, brand new hotels, new restaurants and bars, smoke free gaming areas along with major cosmetic enhancements. As a result of the expansions, 100 new jobs will be created that will add to the existing 3,400 employee Ho-Chunk Nation workforce. We are extremely excited to grow and offer new amenities that will only enhance one of the best entertainment experiences in the region. It’s a win-win for everyone when we can create more jobs throughout Wisconsin and add more value to our guest’s experience.”

Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells will get a new hotel main entrance and lobby, a new poker room and Off-Track Betting area, a redesigned casino floor layout, and expanded non-smoking casino area and a renovated bingo area.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg will get a new 86 room hotel with 272 slots added to the casinos which will have a new high limit area and a non-smoking casino area with 10 table games

Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls will get a new 120 room hotel, an expanded and redesigned casino floor with additional 200 slots and a high limit gaming area.
