US – IGT’s Megabucks hit for $14m

A Las Vegas resident has plenty to be grateful for this holiday season after he won a huge $14,282,544 jackpot on IGT’s Megabucks video slot at Rampart Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday, November 30, 2014. The player wished to remain anonymous.
The winner was dining at the casino with his wife when he tried his luck on Megabucks and was in disbelief when the winning symbols appeared on his machine. He plans to contribute a portion of his winnings to various charities and a local church.
This jackpot continues IGT Megabucks’ mega-payout history, now totalling more than $1bn since its inception in 1987. The world record slot jackpot was won on IGT Megabucks and paid out $39m in March 2003 at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
