US – Low6 launches March Madness brackets for online operators and affiliates

By - 20 March 2023

Low6, the award-winning North American B2B freeplay provider, has had a record-breaking week with the launch of March Madness bracket games for multiple operators and affiliates. Off the back of Selection Sunday, Low6’s white-label gamification suite has been customized for the likes of ClutchBet to capitalize on one of the biggest sporting events in the North American calendar.

Every April, 10 million+ US sports fans are captivated by the NCAA basketball tournament, with many interacting with bracket-based games to predict the winner of every game – a feat that has yet to be verifiably accomplished. More igaming operators are aligning themselves with bracket games to best acquire new players, increase daily active users and engage them with personalized promotional offers.

Clutchbet, the B2C American online sportsbook brand for leading Australian bookmaker BlueBet, is one of a number of US operators to have leveraged this feature for March Madness.

“March Madness is a key event on the sporting calendar for customer acquisition, and we are delighted to have worked with Low6 to deliver an innovative free-to-play bracket game for our audience to engage with,” said Gerard Laws, Marketing Manager for Clutchbet. “By adding private leagues to the bracket, we expect even more players will participate as they challenge their friends to see who can go furthest in the tournament.”

Low6’s bracket offers a seamless SSO integration into operators’ websites and standalone web-based marketing sites. Low6 provides a turnkey solution including customized logos and creative, in-game advertising solutions, and advanced CRM communications—the latter offering unique promotional triggers that can be deployed at the right moment strategically.

“More and more operators and brands across the States are wanting to be in the middle of the March Madness conversation,” said Jamie Mitchell, CEO of Low6. “We’re delighted to equip them with an exciting new digital asset that drives both acquisition and retention. I’m also proud to see many repeat clients working with us again as we strategize out a full sporting calendar where they can use the same white-label bracket and apply to a full mix of upcoming events.”

As of first day of the NCAA Tournament, Low6 has seen bracket participation strongest between the 31-45 age demographic. The engaged Millennial fanbase has grown to 30 per cent female participation, the highest observed in recent years. As a collective across all Low6 activations, Alabama is leading the vote (20 per cent) to win the NCAA basketball tournament. March Madness Final Four selections by fans are as follows; Alabama (37 per cent), Houston (23 per cent), Kansas (20 per cent), and Purdue (12 per cent). Most votes cast by fans are situated in the Northeast region of the United States.

Low6 is excited to continue offering brackets for the NBA and NHL playoffs coming up in April 2023. Low6 is also delighted to launch an innovative bracket game for its partners throughout the week of The Masters in Augusta, GA to attract golf bettors.
