US – Ohio’s casinos fall in April but year so far still outpacing record 2022

Ohio’s 11 casinos produced revenues of $204.6m in April, down from $217.1m in April 2021 and $215.6m in 2022, according to figures published by the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
It was still the third best April on record since casino gambling launched in Ohio in 2012.Â
The state’s casinos accounted for $86.5m of the toal with its racinos accounting for $118.1m.
The top performing casino was JACK Cleveland Casino, followed by Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. JACK Thistledown Racino was the best performing racino followed by Hollywood Mahoning Valley.
For the first four months of the year so far, the state’s casino sector generated $816.2m in revenue, coahead of the $782m generated in the first four months of 2022, which turned out to be a record year.
Ohio’s sportsbooks brought in $68.7m, a big fall from the month before which generated $99.1m.
