US – Paul Steelman approved to sell skill-based in Nevada

By - 27 February 2017

Las Vegas-based casino architect Paul Steelman has completed his move into machine manufacturing having been approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission to sell skill-based casino games in Las Vegas for Competition Interactive.

The company, which debuted at last year’s Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, is a subsidiary of Mr Steelman’s architectural company. It has 18 members of staff including Mr Steelman as Chief Executive Officer.

Competition Interactive launched its first game, Running Rich Racing, at G2E 2016. This skill-based game comes complete with steering wheel and is loosely modelled on Super Mario Carts. It is a multi-player experience with eight cars on the track and options for back betting. Players battle for cash on different courses based on modern spins of classic fairytales. Each race is its own intense adrenaline rush for drivers as well as spectators, who participate by laying stake on their favourite driver.

Mr. Steelman said: “I founded Competition Interactive to create and build new forms of casino entertainment to surprise the youth in all of us with new experiences. Competition Interactive has built a whole new world of casino competitive interactive games.”
