Resorts World Las Vegas, the first ground-up resort development on the Las Vegas Strip in more than a decade, officially swung open its doors to the public at 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 24.

The launch of the €4.3 billion property included a first-look party for invited guests earlier in the evening that featured a ceremonial ribbon cutting officiated by Genting CEO & Chairman, K.T. Lim, and Resorts World Las Vegas’s President, Scott Sibella.

Lim and Sibella were joined by Hilton President & CEO, Chris Nassetta, Nevada Governor, Steve Sisolak, Clark County Commission Chair, Marilyn Kirkpatrick, Clark County Commissioner, Tick Segerblom, and Nevada Congresswoman, Dina Titus.

“We are thrilled to unveil Resorts World Las Vegas – an incredible property that marks the return of our signature Hilton hospitality on the Strip,” said Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton.

“Together, Hilton, Genting and Resorts World Las Vegas are committed to delivering unforgettable experiences for our guests, and this new resort raises the bar for Las Vegas. As we offer outstanding hotels, dining, entertainment and design, we are thrilled to welcome guests to the entertainment capital of the world for years to come.”

Developed by Malaysian casino operator Genting Group and through a partnership with Hilton, Resorts World Las Vegas offers 3,500 luxury guest rooms and suites from three Hilton brands.

The next-generation casino floor at Resorts World Las Vegas features 117,000 square feet of gaming space, over 1,400 slot machines, 117 table games, a dedicated poker room and 30 poker tables, plus high-limit areas and a sportsbook.

“After years of planning and constructing this monumental property with some of the most innovative partners in the industry, Resorts World Las Vegas will redefine the hospitality standard in Las Vegas with unmatched dining and entertainment, more variety of hotel accommodations than anywhere else on the Strip, and the city’s most progressive technology,” said Scott Sibella, President of Resorts World Las Vegas.

The Resorts World Mobile App, developed by mobile platform, JOINGO, a Sightline Payments Solution, will enable customers to pay for any gaming, entertainment, or hotel offerings from the palm of their hand, and check their Genting Rewards account balances, receive offers and rewards and stay connected to the array of amenities available at the resort.

“Our vision at Resorts World Las Vegas has always been to provide first-of-its-kind experiences across every element of the resort, including gaming.

“Through our partnerships with best-in-class gaming technology partners, we will offer our guests a fully integrated experience, not just on the gaming floor, but across the entire resort,” explained Rick Hutchins, Senior Vice President, Casino Operations at Resorts World Las Vegas.

“The Resorts World Las Vegas mobile app will better serve patrons by providing loyalty and personalisation based off their preferences for guests enrolled in our Genting Rewards programme.”

Resorts World Las Vegas offers the first Las Vegas casino experience where consumers can utilise a digital login and cashless wagering experience at both slots and table games, managed through Konami Gaming’s SYNKROS.

“When Resorts World Las Vegas and Konami Gaming first launched an official partnership at the start of 2020, we set out to reinvent the hospitality experience in Las Vegas by bringing seamless interaction, leading-edge convenience, personalised engagement, and catered service to every guest touchpoint,” said Tom Jingoli, executive vice president & chief operating officer at Konami Gaming, Inc.

“The opening of Resorts World Las Vegas marks a significant historical moment for our city and the global gaming industry, and Konami is incredibly excited to be part of delivering unforgettable entertainment and seamless experiences to guests in entirely new ways.”

The resort provides the opportunity to deliver a completely seamless cashless wagering experience via GamingPlay, the resort’s digital gaming wallet, and card-less logins for Genting Rewards loyalty members.

The vision for GamingPlay is to provide seamless capabilities to load their wallet in two ways, by depositing cash at one of the NEO Kiosks provided by NRT Technology or at the player services desk, or by enrolling in Sightline’s Play+.

“Launching cashless gaming solutions at the first major Las Vegas casino opening in a decade presents a tremendous opportunity for Sightline to further the digital transformation of the consumer experience in gaming,” said Joe Pappano, CEO of Sightline Payments.

“Resorts World Las Vegas will spotlight the impact that payments innovations can have on the integrated casino resort to the entire gaming industry. We are proud to launch the Resorts World Las Vegas Play+ programme alongside this historic opening.”

Play+ will allow guests to connect to external funding sources like a bank account, credit, debit or PayPal account, and load their GamingPlay wallet. This solution offers guests the flexibility to transfer funds in and out of their GamingPlay wallet and linked Play + account and will provide the convenience of transactions without leaving their seat or standing in lines.

Guests also have three different ways to input and present their loyalty card on the casino floor, including a physical loyalty card, digital loyalty card, or entering their phone number at any slot machine. NRT Technology will also be an integral part of the Genting Reward through solutions including rewards powered by OfferCraft and QuickTouch loyalty sign-up kiosks.

“Our vision of connecting the guest experience couldn’t be more fitting for this partnership between Resorts World Las Vegas and NRT,” commented Michael Dominelli, President of NRT. “Enabling both a physical and digital solution set of financial services, marketing and loyalty, rewards, enrolment, electronic markers and intelligent table games platform.

“Not to mention the most reliable and secure infrastructure we have driving all of our technology. Connected and backed by key operational software stacks such as AML tracking and management, financial service intelligence and award winning back office platform we are proud to shape the future with Resorts World Las Vegas.”

Guests will be able to test their luck at a variety of table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, and more. Resorts World Las Vegas partnered with Genesis Gaming to provide the digital table games experience with RFID bet tracking, Perfect Pay at baccarat tables, and Ticket-in-Ticket out (TITO) at the tables.

Resorts World Las Vegas will be the first casino resort to introduce “Smart Table,” which will use RFID embedded chips for every dollar denomination to provide 100 per cent accuracy of guests’ gaming activity, ensuring guests receive the most accurate recognition through the resort’s loyalty programme.

TITO at the table will allow guests to conveniently move from slots to tables or vice versa by simply using the cash-out vouchers. This capability will eliminate the need to find a ticket redemption center to exchange the voucher for cash and then go to the table to buy in.

The resort will also introduce Perfect Pay at baccarat tables which, in addition to player tracking, provides technology that will allow guests to place additional wagers, such as insurance and Lucky 6 side bets, adding another level of excitement for baccarat players.

“We are delighted to provide Resorts World Las Vegas with our industry leading Bravo Pit® table game management system. The system features PJM3.0 RFID and vouchering technology, as well as the ability to accept cashless payments at table games,” commented Genesis Gaming Solutions Inc. President, Randy Knust.

“The visionary design and construction of this magnificent resort showcases the latest and greatest industry advancements and underlines Resorts World’s ongoing commitment to innovation.”

TCSJOHNHUXLEY has supplied the casino with live gaming equipment including Saturn Roulette wheels finished in Mahogany with brass Starburst separator ring, the latest Chipper Champ Pro chipping machine (the first installation in Nevada), Ora Grande 32” winning number displays and Ora Pure 27” displays with Omni Baccarat software, as well as a range of custom built poker tables.

“We were honoured to be part of this prestigious project and to be able to supply our key products to the first new major Las Vegas strip casino opening for a decade. We wish all the team at Resorts World Las Vegas much success,” commented Steph Nel, TCSJOHNHUXLEY Managing Director for the Americas.

The casino floor will also feature a poker room that will offer an ‘elevated and technologically advanced’ gaming experience for individual and tournament play.

Resorts World Las Vegas guests will also be able to experience the thrill of sports-wagering in a unique environment with live entertainment and delicious pub fare at Dawg House Saloon & Sportsbook. IGT PlaySports technology will power Resorts World Las Vegas’s retail sportsbook and its state-wide mobile betting app.
