US – Rivers Casino Schenectady names Joe Lodise as General Manager

By - 24 April 2023

Rush Street Gaming has announced that Atlantic City, New Jersey casino executive Joe Lodise is the new general manager of Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady.

Lodise is the former senior vice president and general manager at Caesars Atlantic City where he recently oversaw a $200-million-dollar enhancement to the property including its gaming floor and hotel, along with a new outdoor pool and restaurant. Lodise is set to begin at the Mohawk Harbor property on April 24 pending approval from the New York State Gaming Commission.

Prior to his start in the gaming and hospitality industry, Lodise worked for the Vanguard Group for over a decade in various financial services roles. He joined Caesars Entertainment in 2007 as operations manager at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City and was later promoted to vice president of finance. Lodise then relocated to Mississippi to become assistant general manager and vice president of finance at Horseshoe Tunica near Memphis, TN. He was ultimately promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the property.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Joe to the Rush Street Gaming family and Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady,” said Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rush Street gaming. “His over 15-years of gaming and hospitality experience in highly competitive markets, along with his exceptional leadership skills, financial acumen, and support of community initiatives makes him a perfect fit for Rivers Schenectady.”

A graduate of Villanova University, Lodise was raised in Delaware County, PA. He currently resides in Egg Harbor Township, NJ with his wife, Mausami, and two young daughters, Tiyana and Suhani. The family is planning to relocate to the Capital Region soon and looks forward to immersing themselves in all the area has to offer.

In his free time, Lodise enjoys outdoor activities with family, playing golf and basketball, and being involved with the community. He currently serves on the boards of the Atlantic City Boys & Girls Club and the Atlantic City Police Foundation. Previously, he was an active member of the Casino Association of New Jersey and the Mississippi Gaming and Hospitality Association.

Lodise will lead Rivers Casino and its popular complement, The Landing Hotel. Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is the number-one tourist destination in New York’s Capital Region, home of the market-leading BetRivers Sportsbook, and one of Upstate New York’s “Top Workplaces,” according to the Albany Times Union and the Team Members who work there.
