US – Roulette and craps return to Rivers Casino Schenectady

By - 6 October 2020

Following approval by the New York State Gaming Commission, Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady has announced that its craps and roulette tables are now back in action for guest play. Roulette and craps were initially not available when the casino reopened its doors on Wednesday, 9 September, following a nearly six-month closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re thrilled that Rivers Casino was able to meet, or exceed, all of the state’s safety requirements to get craps and roulette back in action for our guests,” said Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady General Manager, Justin Moore. “Bringing craps and roulette back on line makes for an even more exciting gaming experience at the casino, and we’re confident that we are providing a safe and healthy entertainment environment for all our guests and Team Members”.

Guests are now able to play on all of the casino’s table games, along with slots and other gaming machines. Plexiglass barriers separating players and dealers have been installed for safety at all craps and roulette tables, along with other table games and slots, and guests will be required to sanitize their hands before and after play.

Rivers Casino’s new daily hours of operation is from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Downtime is being used for intensive property-wide deep cleaning in addition to the continuous sanitizing taking place throughout each day. Rivers has instituted its extensive “Sure Bet Sanitized” cleaning program, along with a number of other new operating procedures in order to comply with, or surpass, the state’s new COVID-19 casino reopening protocols.

The popular Rivers Sportsbook, including self-betting kiosks, is also open for guests.
