US – Station preparing to build in Reno
By Phil - 18 July 2016
Station Casinos is preparing to announce a new casino project in Northern Nevada with a construction budget of $50m to $70m.
Boasting an 84,000 square feet footprint, the casino will house a 24-hour bistro-style cafe with outdoor dining and two quick-serve outlets as well as a state-of-the-art sportsbook and sports bar with large-format LED screens and mobile wagering kiosks.
The venue will likely be situated near the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
Lori Nelson, a Spokeswoman for Station Casinos, said: “We are extremely excited about the Reno market and look forward to working with the city and state to secure the approvals necessary to build a high-quality gaming facility.”
Station will use a gaming license it bought from the Reno Turf Club to offer gaming without a hotel. The operator said the project would provide 350 construction jobs and between 150 and 200 jobs at the casino.
