US – Tropicana completes casino renovations

By - 30 April 2015

Tropicana Atlantic City has completed a $50m renovation with upgrades to its North Tower hotel rooms, a completely renovated casino featuring new games, an all-new Atlantic Care Life Center Fitness center and the spectacular must-see Tropicana Multimedia Light and Sound Show.

“From the vibrant and exciting multimedia light and sound show on the boardwalk facade to the elegant upgrades we’ve made to the casino floor, we’ve taken the guest experience to a new level,” said General Manager Steve Callender. “We’ve even decided to introduce a brand new resort logo.”

The highlight of Tropicana’s renovation project is a free multimedia light and sound show on the property’s re-imagined Boardwalk facade. Daily high energy and ever changing shows, massive LED screens, strobe lights and continuous digital media displays will light up the night in a choreographed multimedia light and sound show. The center of the multimedia light and sound show will feature a 66-foot high curved LED screen surrounded by five double-sided 24-foot LED screens with moving spot lights reaching deep into the sky. Enhancing the overall experience will be a 17-foot high continuous digital media architectural facade that will seamlessly integrate the high resolution video displays to create an immersive experience. The overall length of the screens spans 360 feet. Tropicana’s Multimedia Light and Sound Show will play on the boardwalk daily featuring a multitude of high energy themes choreographed to music that are ever-changing, ensuring ample variety for visitors.

The daily show is free and will be visible at dusk to guests from as far away as Arkansas & the Boardwalk and the City of Ventnor. “Tropicana is committed to enhancing the Atlantic City experience for all of our visitors. We will continue to invest in our property and expand our offerings beginning with Tropicana’s Multimedia Light and Sound Show,” said Tony Rodio, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Projects like this and the additional renovations at Tropicana support our ongoing dedication to Atlantic City.”
The multi-million dollar revitalisation includes a floor-to-ceiling makeover of Tropicana’s 434 North Tower hotel rooms. Hotel and convention guests will enjoy a comfortable and inviting new atmosphere created by the modern design featuring new lighting and expansive bathrooms.

The renovation also boasts a complete transformation of the North Tower casino floor, creating an all-new upscale modern look and feel. The new layout includes the addition of 10 North, a new lounge with a double-sided fireplace, cozy seating and bar-top slot machines, will serve all of your favourite libations and is scheduled to debut in July.
