US – Walking Dead slot makes it first millionaire

By - 26 February 2015

A slot player at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California, has won a million dollar jackpot on The Walking Dead Slot Game.

Rocio H. from Chino Hills, California won $1,053,775.64.

Buddy Frank, Vice President of Slot Operations, said: “We are thrilled to have the wide area progressive hit here at Pechanga Resort & Casino and it couldn’t have happened to a nicer lady. The Walking Dead slots have been some of the most popular we’ve seen here and this million-dollar jackpot will create even more zombie buzz for the game.”

Dallas Orchard, Vice President of Gaming Operations for Aristocrat Technologies, added: “The response to our Walking Dead Slot Game has been tremendous. The game gives people some edge-of-your-seat thrills just like the show itself. The winner at Pechanga certainly had that feeling and we are very excited for her.”

The game’s tagline, ‘it pays to play dead,’ came true for Rocio. Released in 2014, the Pechanga Resort & Casino jackpot is the first $1 million payout for the popular slot machine.
The last million-dollar jackpot won at Pechanga Resort & Casino was on Thanksgiving Day in November 2014.
