Veikkaus and the Football Association of Finland will continue their cooperation together until 2030.

The two have been working together for 85 years with the partnership covering the national teams and national leagues. The national team cooperation includes the Huuhkajat team playing in the World Cup qualifiers, the Helmarit and Pikkuhuuhkajat team playing in the European Championships in the summer, as well as the men’s and women’s national futsal teams.

Veikkaus will be the main sponsor of the Football Association of Finland’s national leagues Ykkösliiga, Kansallisen Yli, Kansallisen Ykkönen, Ykkönen, Men’s Kakkonen and Finnish Cups. The main futsal leagues, the men’s and women’s Futsal Leagues, are also part of the deal.

Olli Sarekoski, CEO of Veikkaus, said: “The agreement with the Football Association of Finland is very important and meaningful to us. Veikkaus and domestic football have a long history together that continues. Finnish football is on the rise, and together with the Football Association of Finland, we can offer Finns big emotions and strong experiences. We look forward to the coming years with enthusiasm. Our cooperation will be further deepened with the partnership we have established.”

Reija Laaksonen, Veikkaus’ Director of Human Resources and Communications, said: “We also engage in extensive branding cooperation with the Football Association of Finland. Our cooperation has a long history and football is a meaningful sport for Finns in many ways. It is great to continue our work with the Football Association of Finland for better play and Finnish sports.”

Ari Lahti, President of the Football Association of Finland, added: “The global situation and the constantly changing sports environment highlight the value of long-term, reliable and future-oriented partners. Veikkaus has been by our side for a long time, and we believe that together with them, football and futsal will continue to grow successfully in the future.”

Marco Casagrande, Secretary General of the Football Association of Finland, commented: “The game evolves and changes, but at the core are still excitement, joys, disappointments and communal experiences. Veikkaus knows the roots of Finnishness and its future opportunities, and they have shown their will to be involved in developing the future of Finnish football and futsal in the long term,” says .

In honor of the new cooperation agreement, Veikkaus’ Loyal Customers have the opportunity to win a dream fan trip on the wings of Huuhkajat for an away game trip to the Netherlands.
