Vegas Vegas, a Japanese Pachinko hall operator, has opened its second casino in Vietnam with a small venue in Hanoi.
It has opened Hollywood One Gaming Club, below ground level in Hotel de l’Opera, a 5 star hotel in Hanoi which uses the MGallery Sofitel brand. Located in the heart of Hanoi, the casino is within walking distance of several city attractions, such as the Hanoi Opera House, the city’s Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre. The gaming floor offers a range of table games such as baccarat, blackjack, roulette and sic bo as well as slots.
CEO Hideyuki Takahashi said the company wants to open a total of 10 small casinos across Vietnam over the next five years with the long-term aim being to join the face of an IR in Japan.
Its first casino opened in December 2017 in Ha Long City in QuảngNinh province. Its customer base is 30 per cent Chinese, 30 per cent Korean and 20 per cent Southeast Asian.
