Belgium – Casino Ostend continues to specify CPI note acceptors

Casino Ostend continues to reaffirm its long-standing commitment to using MEI SC83 note acceptors from Crane Payment Innovations (CPI), a Crane Co. Company.

Management at the Belgian seaside resort first began specifying the MEI SC83 on all new slot purchases in 2003.

“In our business, note acceptors represent a critical entry port for revenue,” said Stefan Claus, Slots Manager at Casino Ostend. “How well they perform is critical to the satisfaction of our guests and, accordingly, our bottom line. That’s why we chose the MEI SC83 note acceptor. Its security, reliability and first-time acceptance rate are second to none.”

SC note acceptors were first introduced to the market in 2002, only one year before Casino Ostend made the decision to begin specifying the SC83 on all new slot purchases. Since then, more than 1.5 million units have been installed worldwide, a testament to the importance operators place on the performance characteristics that directly impact their profitability – acceptance rates, jam rates, security and cost of ownership.

“We first began specifying the SC83 based upon comparative tests and market feedback,” said Claus, “but now we have years of player satisfaction – and their resulting loyalty – backing our decision.
