Betano says England and France are the favourites to win the Euro’s

With everything set for the EUROs in Germany and just a few days away from the kick-off of Copa America in the USA, Betano shares the most important probabilities about the two competitions, as available on its platform.
England have never won the EUROs in their history. Despite this, they are considered the leading favourites, with a 19.6% chance of becoming European Champion. After all, England’s current generation of players, such as Bellingham, Saka, Foden, Kane and Rice, is considered one of the most talented the “Three Lions” have ever had. Next comes France, with a 19.2% chance, having played in one European and two World Cup finals since 2016. The third favourites are tournament organisers, Germany (13.7%), with Portugal (11.8%) and Spain (9.8%) also at the top of the pack.
As for the competition’s underdogs, Albania leads with a 0.06% chance of winning the tournament! After all, Albania is considered to be participating in the most difficult UEFA EURO 2024™ group with Spain, Croatia and Italy as opponents. With this in mind, even a possible qualification from the group stage will be considered a huge success, with only a 2% chance of happening. On the list of biggest underdogs, Albania is followed by Georgia (0.08%) and Slovakia (0.1%).
Regarding the individual awards, Kylian Mbappé is the first favourite to be named both the tournament’s top goal scorer and MVP, with 14.7% and 9.3% chances respectively. His competition for the MVP award comes primarily from England, namely Bellingham (8%), Kane and Foden (5.3% each). Cristiano Ronaldo and De Bruyne are also among the main contenders for the award with a 3.7% chance each.
As for the top goal scorer, Mbappé is followed by Kane (6.75%), Lukaku (4.8%) and Cristiano Ronaldo (4.3%). Havertz and Bellingham (2%), as well as Giroud, Griezmann, Morata, Foden and Musiala (1.8%) will also compete for this distinction. Belgian Kevin De Bruyne (7.1%) has the best chances to be the first in assists, with Mbappé and Bruno Fernandes (4.8%) following closely behind.
In CONMEBOL Copa America 2024 it’s likely we will see a great battle between the two superpowers of Latin American football, Argentina and Brazil and their two big stars, Lionel Messi and Vinicius Junior. The current title holders and World Champions, Argentina, are considered the grand favourites with their chances of winning the competition again standing at 32.8%, while their great rivals, Brazil, have a 27.4% winning chance. In addition to that, Lionel Messi is the favourite for the MVP, top scorer and top assist awards, with Vinicius second in all the respective categories!
However, there is more to the tournament than just Argentina and Brazil. Uruguay along with Argentina holds the most titles in Copa America history – a total of 15. Thus, “La Celeste” is the third favourite to win the title with their chances standing at 11.4%. Colombia (6.9%), the USA (6.3%) and Mexico (5.4%) are also among the top six contenders. As for the tournament’s biggest underdogs, they are, in order, Bolivia (0.12%), Panama (0.22%) and Jamaica (0.25%).
Finally, for the top goal scorer award, very close to Messi and Vinicius is Darwin Núñez of Uruguay and Liverpool FC with his chances at 12%. Third favourite for the competition’s MVP is the Brazilian Rodrygo (7.4%) and in assists, the American ace of AC Milan, Christian Pulisic (4.5%).
