Jaar Loisirs, the new operating force behind the casino Amelie les Bains Palalda in the Hautes-Pyrenees region of France reopened the venue on November 9.
Joe Gimenez, General Manager of Jaar Loisirs, said it took six months for the new delegate, chosen by the municipality during the municipal council of May 7, to obtain the authorisation to operate. The casino closed on February 28, after the liquidation of the MGS company.
On the strength of this new 15-year concession, Mr. Gimenez started renovating this summer. The restaurant has been renovated and reopened in mid-August. The cinema which is also part of the concession should resume activity within two weeks. The casino will open every day of the week from 2 pm to midnight, staying open for an extra two hours on Friday and Saturday, with 40 slot machines and a blackjack table for traditional games.
