Italy – MEI and CMS collaborate on The EasyDrop

By - 20 June 2013

CMS Group SRL from Italy has teamed up with MEI to produce The EasyDrop which enables croupiers to enter banknotes in a bundle of up to 30 in a simple and practical way.

CMS selected MEI to provide the heart of the EasyDrop; a quick, secure note validation and storage system thanks to the SC Advance bill reader with the BNF (bulk-note feeder). The award-winning Cashflow SC has been produced over one and a half million times and the new SC Advance brings further key attributes that makes it the perfect solution. Together with the BNF, this solution has enabled the successful introduction of the EasyDrop to market.

The new EasyDrop is also a combination of key hardware and software. Now croupiers and the casino back office both have distant benefits. The croupier knows that all banknotes are being validated by the MEI SC Advance – so any counterfeits are rejected at source. Older and crumpled true notes can also be validated and securely stored. The ability to place up to 30 notes and/or tickets at once into the EasyDrop and its sheer speed means that croupiers can focus more on what is most important to them – the players. The patented vertical note drop means that croupiers can enter the notes/tickets in the most natural way. Back office management can see immediately how much money and when it was entered.  All the data is registered and can be called up upon in real time. Differing sizes are cashboxes are available and operators can programme the maximum capacity it should have so that they are automatically informed when it needs replacing with an empty one. This maintains uptime and keeps revenue running.

Giuseppe Storniolo, General Manager of the CMS Group, said: “We had the opportunity to introduce the EasyDrop to the global gaming market at ICE. Casino Venice has already implemented it and we received orders directly from casinos in France, Spain and Austria. The fact that we make use of the SC Advance and BNF gives us an additional boost as the feedback we received is that we are using the best solutions here available. Together with our patented note drop, programmable menu buttons and thorough accounting / software, we received very encouraging feedback.”

Erik-Jan van den Berg, Sales Director EMEA at MEI, added: “The EasyDrop is an ideal solution for managing the drop on live gaming. The faster note-to-note speed that the SC Advance offers together with the BNF makes MEI stand out as the preferred partner for this new market segment. We are very proud that CMS Group has chosen us to supply these key components.”
