JUGABET makes Peruvian debut with sportsbook and casino licenses

JUGABET, the new sportsbook and casino that blows up the Latin American market, will make its debut in the Peruvian market after receiving two licenses from the country’s Minister of International Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR).
The new license, awarded on 23 May 2024, is the tenth license granted by the regulator and will allow JUGABET to offer both sports betting and online casino products to players across Peru via its jugabet.pe website for the next six years.
JUGABET’s platform will be launched in cooperation with Growe, a brand management organization that focuses on developing and implementing best-in-class entertainment technology platforms across the iGaming industry.
Cristhian Gómez, Head of LATAM at Growe, commented on the new licenses: “We are very pleased to contribute to the acquisition of these licenses, allowing us to operate both sportsbooks and casinos online. Peru has one of the top economies in Latin America, and hence, this is a very important milestone for our expansion plans in LATAM.

Peru first legalized land-based casinos in 1979. Since the introduction of a regulated gambling framework in November 2023, which covers both sports betting and online casinos, the market has attracted significant attention from international gaming brands.
Figures suggest that the regulated Peruvian market is expected to grow at a minimum rate of 6.4% per annum, with sports betting, casino, and lotteries being the key drivers for growth.
